Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineering Lead

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineering Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Lead the design and delivery of engineering solutions for all project stages.
• Translate strategic initiatives into actionable project plans.
• Manage procurement processes and prepare technical evaluations.
• Oversee the execution of instrumentation and control systems.
• Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Create and review project documentation for all phases.
• Ensure compliance with client and project design requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables like P&IDs and datasheets.
• Utilize cost-effective techniques for optimal project execution.
• Develop and monitor project estimates, schedules, and progress reports.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Instrumentation, Control/Automation, or Electrical Engineering with a focus on instrumentation.
• 10-15 years of experience in EPCM or EPC environments, preferably in mineral processing.
• Proven experience in project setup, control-level scheduling, progress reporting, and project close-out.
• P.Eng certification preferred.
• Field experience in instrumentation is preferred.
• Understanding of digital mining, cybersecurity, and industrial control networks.
• Strong supervisory skills with experience leading engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with control system PCS and PLC hardware.
• Extensive knowledge of instrumentation and control systems technology and design.
