Our client is a leading player in the mining industry, operating a significant project known for its production of gold and copper. The company is committed to sustainable and responsible mining practices, ensuring long-term value creation and community engagement.
We are seeking experienced Project Administrators who is willing to work on-site in Northern BC following a 14x14 rotational schedule. This is a long term contractor role with minimum 1 year duration.
Flight hubs include Vancouver, Prince George, and Calgary, with travel days being paid as regular 12 hour work days.
Please note that completion of Drug & Alcohol test and WHMIS will be required prior to onboarding.
Key responsibilities of this role includes managing project documentation, scheduling, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and aiding in project monitoring. The successful candidate will have exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset to ensure the project's seamless progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a document control system, ensuring all project-related documents are current and accessible.
- Schedule and document project meetings, including tracking action items.
- Assist with contractor onboarding and the application of contractor management standards.
- Handle invoice management, payment processing, and assist with budget forecasting.
- Support procurement and tender processes in collaboration with Project Engineers.
- Manage travel arrangements, timesheets, and training records for department staff.
- Coordinate accommodation and travel logistics for team members and subcontractors.
- Monitor and replenish essential supplies as needed.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the construction leadership team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in administrative roles.
- At least 2 years of experience in construction project environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in SAP is required.
