Exciting Opportunity: Expediting Consultant (1 Year Company Contract)

Location: Mumbai, India

Main Mission:

  • Post-order monitoring of Purchase Orders for projects under execution.
  • Conduct field expediting visits for optimal resource utilization.
  • Adhere to department work instructions.
  • Monitor work hour consumption and progress.
  • Proactively expedite the fabrication and deliveries of suppliers.
  • Coordinate closely with other departments and projects for internal expediting.
  • Provide related reports and status updates to projects and clients.
  • Prepare and issue Material Status Reports (MSR) and Expediting reports within agreed timelines.
  • Anticipate and highlight potential delays by suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Improve productivity by reducing rework and errors.
  • Utilize strong computer skills: Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with any ERP system.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Chemical Engineering (Preferably Degree).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in EPC/LSTK consultancy, with at least 5 years in expediting (post-order management) in sectors like Oil & Gas / Refining.
  • Sound knowledge of common materials and packages for Hydrocarbon, Oil & Gas / Energy sector projects.
  • Understanding of manufacturing/fabrication sequences at milestone levels and critical items/activities involved.
  • Knowledge of lead times for the above items.
  • Ability to correctly interpret order execution schedules provided by suppliers.
  • Effective and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills for internal customers.
  • Effective reporting to internal customers.
  • Ability to build relationships with the execution team.
  • Collaborative in project teams and with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint for presentations.
