Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Field Materials Manager! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7, and excellent accommodations.
In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will be responsible for Execution of the overall material management activity and/or assists in the planning and execution of specialized Material Management activities. (material control, procurement, logistics, inspection, or field material management)
Job duties:
- Manages the Procurement work process
-Reports the material management status of purchased material and equipment from the time of purchase through receipt at assigned points of use
-Directs the development of all material control, procurement, or field material management activities from the identification of material and equipment, through Request for Quotations, to close-out
-Assigns Request for Quotation packages to appropriate procurement and other material management personnel
Qualifications:
- Degreed, or equivalent experience
- At least 10 years or related experience
- Successfully managed multi-discipline material management functions and activities on projects, while serving as the materials manager.
-Fully knowledgeable and experienced in the means, processes and methods needed to successfully construct the materials management program for the project.
-Excellent computer literacy skills required
-Strong leadership and decision-making skills
