Painting, Insulation & Fire Proofing Supervisor

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painting, Insulation & Fire Proofing Supervisor to oversee and manage all painting, insulation, and fire proofing activities on the ICR revamp project at a refinery site in Lysekil, Sweden. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Coordination:

• Oversee the application of fire proofing materials and techniques.
• Supervise insulation and painting teams to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with other supervisors and project managers to align activities with project timelines and objectives.

Safety and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain safety standards as per OSHA and local regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure all painting, insulation, and fire proofing work complies with industry standards and project specifications.

Team Management:

• Train and supervise painting, insulation, and fire proofing teams.
• Allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Quality Control:

• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance work.
• Resolve any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Inventory and Equipment Management:

• Manage inventory of painting, insulation, and fire proofing materials.
• Order new materials and equipment as needed.
• Ensure the proper and safe usage of all equipment.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in painting, insulation, and fire proofing within the construction or petrochemical industry.
• Proven track record of supervisory roles or team management.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as OSHA Construction Safety, Fire Proofing Application Training, or equivalent.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

About the Project:

The ICR revamp project at the refinery in Lysekil involves the conversion of the IsoCracker plant to produce renewable aviation fuel (biojet/SAF) and renewable diesel. This project is part of a commitment to sustainable energy and is scheduled for completion in 2027.
