Join our esteemed Client, a leading player in the oil and gas industry. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices. Seeking two (2) dedicated SACPCMP registered HSE Managers to lead their HSE initiatives and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This role is for will be based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions.
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance, including key metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with operational teams to integrate HSE practices into daily activities.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Registered with SACPCMP as HSE Manager.
- Minimum of 10 years of HSE experience in Petro-Chemical environment, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Tank terminal experience.
- Previous Engen experience.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record in incident investigation and risk management.Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
