Job Description
We are looking for a Lean Coach/Manager with a specialized lean expertise to coach and mentor Design, Engineering, Fabrication and Construction teams. The position requires extensive experience in Lean methods/practices and improvement techniques with the focus being high level of proficiency in coaching/mentoring acquired through multiple cycles of observation of a
Sensei/Coach at work , supervised coaching and independently coaching implementation:
• Preventive Design in an EPFC environment/ Target Value Delivery
• Set Based Design/Set Based Concurrent Engineering
• Training Within Industry (TWI)
• Standard work in a Design/Engineering environment
• Leader Standard work , particularly as it relates to the work of Design Leads
• Toyota Kata
• Target Value Design (Including cost elements)
• Last Planner systems – Pull planning techniques
• Continuous flow in a heavy industry
• Total Productive Maintenance
• Visual Project Management with specific emphasis on critical phases/Agile Kanban
• Obeya /Mission Control
• Co-design/product development hackathons/Joint Design in a JDM environment with or without Target Value Design (TVD) objectives.
• Integrated Project Delivery
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Basic Job Requirements :
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering/
technical field.
• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s degree or global equivalent) in engineering discipline/technical field, preferred.
• Experience ranging from 3 years upwards of intense application of Lean Methods (listed above) and Kaizen Activity within Design and Engineering. • • • Demonstrated experience of no less than 8 Events per year.
• Additionally, Experience ranging from 10 years upwards of intense application of Lean Methods and Kaizen Activity in general with preferred application in Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction.
