Marine Engineer

Our client is a leading engineering firm specializing in marine construction projects. TRS is seeking a dedicated Marine Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of complex marine infrastructure projects. This role is based at the project site in Squamish, BC.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for quality and timely delivery.
• Promote a strong safety culture and best practices.
• Implement quality control for engineering works.
• Analyze technical documentation and designs.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Promote environmental sustainability.
• Develop and review detailed construction plans.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Oversee installation phase adherence to designs and schedules.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in marine construction and engineering.
• Proven experience in project engineering within the marine construction industry.
• Knowledge of marine construction techniques, including pile installation and substructure development.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to marine construction.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and project plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
• Valid driver's license and passport, with legal authorization to work in the specified location.
