KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description Performance Indicators
1. To identify Marketing opportunities that allow for efficient organisational expansion of high quality training delivery.
2. Identifying and Researching appropriate industries and organisations and individuals (online, including social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets, within the Institute’s industrial sector remit.
3. Researching the training needs of other companies and identifying appropriate decisions makers with regards to company manpower training requirements.
4. Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish initial rapport.
5. Developing relationships with potential clients to set up business meetings
6. Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
7. Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s services and
8. Work as part of the Marketing team in preparing Power Point presentations and promotional material
9. Working with the Financial Team to develop quotes and proposals
10. Working with the Financial Team to negotiate and renegotiate by phone, email, and in person
11. Developing an action plan to meet new business goals and ensuring KPIs are met
12. Organising Business Documentation and supporting Institute management in all areas of customer data records.
13. To work as part of the Institute Management team to discuss and agree Quality Assurance procedures that match local industry requirements and appropriate educational standards and specifications.
14. To work seamlessly and effectively with all key institute staff, promoting one clear professional message about our business vision and direction.
15. To actively support and participate in the Institute recruitment and marketing campaigns
16. To promote the Institute Trainee ‘code of conduct’, to establish and maintain quality standards across all sections of the collaborative recruitment process with sponsors.
17. To undertake agreed continuous professional development to benefit both self and Institute
18. Any Other work allocated by Line Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Recognized HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Maths and Statistics, or Related Discipline with appropriate industrial experience
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in Marketing (preferably within specific industry sectors)
Extensive relevant Industrial Business experience, relative to vocational/industrial training or new business.
Minimum 3 years of leadership and line management experience within a Marekting setting
Position Specific Skills:
The ability to objectively appraise business working practices and to be able to suggest realistic and workable solutions
The ability to focus in on particular details of business practices, to assess and critique while also appreciating the bigger picture of the end goal
To have energy and enthusiasm for working in a rapidly evolving environment and ability to demonstrate flexibility in working practices.
The ability to understand a broad range of Business working practices and have a comfort with a variety of Organisational procedures
To have in-depth business knowledge, associated with current events and external influences
To possess excellent interactive people skills, the ability to appraise a business situation positively and have the ability to identify appropriate and effective business solution options
To be able to create appropriate Institute business development records.
