About The Role
A major player in European infrastructure is seeking a Materials Buyer to join the team.

What you'll be doing:

• UK Focused for now – may develop into International Part of Procurement team.

• Support team on pricing, who are key suppliers and what is the best price in market on products.

• Narrow down to key supplier, so team are able to advise for the tender the best and most competitive price making the tender most appealing.

• Once a tender has been won this role will involve supporting Supply Chain Manager on particular products, e.g. if they are high value then we should manage inventory and allocation of product to sub-contractors.

• Work closely with Sub-contractors and build good relationship.

• Double check and get pricing of Orders of products.

• Raise a Requisition form for PO.

• Place order with the Supplier.

Must be able to negotiate – ideally able to evaluate which suppliers we have good relationships with and who are competitive. Need to negotiate if for instance a supplier is not delivering – how we can get them to do so, what leverage do we have. Be aware of what inventory is available at Dettling Yard. Liaise with team to have any unused inventory sent there
