Location: Mooresboro, NC (bordering Chesnee, SC)
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried with bonus
Pay: $115-130k plus up to 12% annual bonus
Industry: metals, industrial processing/manufacturing

The purpose of this job is to provide Mechanical Reliability, Process Optimization, and Project Management services on-site.
Essential Job Duties:
• Mechanical lead for capital and expense projects
• Project management of maintenance and improvement projects
• Co-ordinate activities between contractors and maintenance personnel in collaboration with the construction manager
• Manage quality of deliverables, and effectively lead the mechanical project team
• Creates technical mechanical specifications, prepares procurement inquiry packages, technically evaluates bids, and issues order packages for equipment
• Coordinates review of vendor data/drawings, and supervises designers assigned to the project
• Provides technical support and guidance on mechanical equipment, selections, installations, and their alternatives
• Supporting construction activities with technical answers
• Acting as a focal point for technical and work process related questions for EPC firms on outsourced projects
• Monitoring and managing work hour estimates
• Acting as focal point between Purchasing and project team on all questions and coordination of mechanical equipment issues
• Mentors mechanical discipline designers and engineers in the application of design tools and work processes
• Design mechanical scope of the project on time and within budget
• Ensures no engineering errors or omissions on mechanical design during construction
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
• 8+ years of engineering, maintenance, and plant equipment reliability work-experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (metals, chemicals, oil & gas, processing etc.)
• Prior experience with leading and supporting Capital or Expense Projects would be a plus
• Prior experience with heavy industrial equipment preferred: furnaces, boilers, chillers, reactors, distillation columns, material handling systems and conveyors, crushing/sorting equipment, chemical mixing/batching, material sortation, casting, etc.
• Experience with process piping design would be a plus
• Ability to analyze business data and determine key performance indicators
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to determine a course of action quickly
• Must be able to wear all safety equipment used in plant and ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly
• Must pass a fit and pulmonary test to wear a respirator (use of a respirator will be very rare)
**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire
