Summary of Position
As a Project Manager, qualified candidates must have the ability to contribute positively to the successful Energy Construction Project execution along with relationship building skills with the client and subcontractors. The Project Manager will have some previous experience with Construction Management, HVAC, Piping, Electrical, and Building controls. We are seeking experienced and qualified Project Manager/Quality Control Manager who can deliver projects on time, within budget, and with the utmost quality and safety. The ideal candidate is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
Requirements / Must haves:
• 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred for Project Manager & Quality Control Manager positions
• 5-10 years’ experience managing complex construction projects ranging from $1M to $50M
• Experience in Energy, Building Controls, and Solar is a plus.
• Knowledgeable with at least two or more of: Solar, Electrical Power Systems, HVAC, Building Automation Systems and Energy Engineering.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
• Demonstrate strong track record of problem resolution skills.
• Great communication and relationship skills. Ability to represent the company favorably in the field.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Authentic leadership – you are able to lead by example, with integrity and a real interest in the development of each member of your team.
• Strong accountability and initiative skills.
• Qualified in project management or equivalent
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
• Proven experience in people management
• Proven experience in strategic planning
• Proven experience in risk management
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction cost/budgeting, estimating, purchasing/buy-out, and engineering principles/ techniques
Job Duties:
• Responsible for successful field project goals execution in construction and closeout phases.
• Adhere to master plan schedule and ensure quality of work from subcontractors is of a high standard.
• Coordinate with Project Admins and Coordinators as well as the Client.
• Ensure client is notified of all construction activities. Attend weekly site meetings.
• Provide oversight and direction to Subcontractors with regard to day-to-day field activities.
• Update project schedule and three-week look ahead.
• Provide problem resolutions and know how to motivate the team.
• Develop and maintain superior customer relationships that aligns with company philosophy of valuing customers for life.
• Lead the planning and implementation of project
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Manage project budget
• Quality assurance
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to Operations Manager
• Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
• Project evaluations and assessment of results
