Quality Inspector

For our client we are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector Mechanical & Electrical  (contractor) to support their offshore wind project in the Rotterdam area.

The job:
- Main Responsible for the M&E Outfitting works of the Offshore Substation;
- Undertakes daily surveillance activities of ongoing M&E outfitting works;
- Ensures M&E inspections are done per specifications;
- Attends inspections of M&E equipment - HAT, Mechanical Completion, SAT, etc. in accordance with the agreed ITP;
- Manages M&E aspects of punchlists prior to load out.

Requested:
- Degree qualified engineer or time served apprentice with a qualification in mechatronics engineering or a similar field;
- Extensive experience in the field of mechanical outfitting of an Offshore Substation (example: Oil/Water separator, HVAC system, drainage and piping systems);
- Extensive experience in the field of electrical installation and outfitting of low voltage components on Offshore Substations;
- Significant practical experience working in a similar role.
- Experienced in dealing with Contractors/Sub-Contractors monitoring M&E works for compliance.
- Fluent written & verbal English preferable knowledge of local language
- IT literate in Microsoft Office
- Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Able to review as manufacturing records and manufacturing drawings
- Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication standards ISO, EN, DNV and other industry norms
- Able to work with minimal supervision
