Job Responsibilities:
- Function as the focal point in creating a production schedule for Workshops using the best combination of Visual Manufacturing MRP System and or Excel. The production schedule’s purpose is to provide a means to track and manage daily new sub assembly sales manufacturing workload, provide feedback to Internal Aftermarket Sales on in-house vs subcontracted manufacturing hours, and provide regular reporting on manufacturing status. The production schedule will provide an in-depth audit on production requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedule, and workforce size.
- Monitor quality, service, and delivery issues, and raise corrective actions against relevant internal departments as required through company Non-Conformance Procedures.
- Accurately maintain and supervise of others performing the job-master database in MRP system – (SMO/SMEO).
- It is the responsibility of the Sub Assembly Sales Planner to quantify the cost of a planned production jobs and report cost findings to the Finance Cost Accountant, considering the appropriate margin and quote released by Aftermarket Sales for planned production job to end user.
- To develop models on which to base recommendations to Production Manager on resources required in production departments to achieve budgeted revenue, productivity, and result targets.
- Routinely communicate and supervise those performing the take of spares shortages to Procurement Department in following up on orders placed for spares as required by the production process in order to achieve planned production schedule.
- Assist the Workshop Foremen in managing the cost of manufactured sub assembly, manufactured and electrical harness/panel kits and local modifications based on signed works orders.
- Jobs are opened timeously, job (SMO/SMEO) cards are issued and closed as and when required, including supervision of those carrying out such assistant tasks.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years planning or management within a similar manufacturing sales environment.
- Grade 12 and or N3 equivalent.
- Diploma and or Certificate in Project Management/Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing.
- Certificate and or Diploma in Supply chain management
- BC MRP Experience.
- High level of computer literacy (Excel/Microsoft Projects/Microsoft Office)
- Mining Industry, manufacturing process experience and knowledge.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans – verbal and written.
