Scaffolding, Insulation & Painting Works Supervisor

The ICR revamp project at the refinery in Lysekil involves the conversion of the IsoCracker plant to produce renewable aviation fuel (biojet/SAF) and renewable diesel. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Coordination:

  • Oversee the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
  • Supervise insulation and painting teams to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and project managers to align activities with project timelines and objectives.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain safety standards as per OSHA and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all scaffolding, insulation, and painting work complies with industry standards and project specifications.

• Team Management:

  • Train and supervise scaffolding, insulation, and painting teams.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.

• Quality Control:

  • Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance work.
  • Resolve any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

• Inventory and Equipment Management:

  • Manage inventory of scaffolding, insulation, and painting materials.
  • Order new materials and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure the proper and safe usage of all equipment.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in scaffolding, insulation, and painting within the construction or petrochemical industry.
  • Proven track record of supervisory roles or team management.

• Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager Training, OSHA Construction Safety, or equivalent.

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
