The role will see you support pipelay projects globally and analysis engineers play an integral part in finding solutions to complex engineering problems.
You will be involved in coordinating various methods of pipeline reel lay installation for work assignments on global projects either in progress or in the process of tendering.
The Role
• Supporting a team of method engineers to follow project scope(s) from early engagement with our internal and external clients through to offshore execution on board our reel lay assets.
• You’ll be a be a technical reference for pipeline installation and contribute to the sub-contractor’s selection.
• Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities and subcontract follow up, proactively support HSEQ activities and prepare and deliver technical presentations.
• Installation rigging calculations and rigging design.
• Assist Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs and costing support.
• Supporting installation aid procurement, fabrication and testing follow up.
• Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels.
Your Profile
• Degree qualified in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology / Civil / Mechanical or equivalent
• Extensive experience as a project engineer, the majority of this from within the offshore energy industry.
• Experience, or an understanding of, offshore pipeline installation methods, ideally within the reel lay discipline (i.e., Reel Lay, J-Lay, S-Lay)
