"TRS has an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER with strong Raise Boring and Fidic contract management experience. Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects, ensuring the successful execution of raise boring operations while adhering to contractual obligations and project timelines. Join our international client's team based in Johannesburg South Africa.”
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Responsibilities include project planning, coordination of engineering activities, procurement management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Raise boring experience
- Extensive contract management – FIDIC
- Worked within an EPCM/Mining environment essential
- Knowledge of specific departments i.e.: Projects, Project Controls, etc. essential
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS 45001 advantageous
- Sound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environment essential
- BSc Honors/ BTech/ NQFL7 or higher in Mechanical Engineering essential
- Professional Registration essential - ECSA
- GCC (Mines & Works) advantageous
- Post Graduate Qualifications advantageous
- 10 or more years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years or more in Mining Projects
- 3 years or more operational experience in mines
