Location: Atlanta, GA
Industry: Power Generation and Engineering
Status of Hire: direct placement
Pay: $220,000 + bonus
Summary: This role will be responsible the technical coordination, internal and external resource management of key engineering projects, both directly and through overseeing a project manager and project controls roles. The role must be able to organize and manage projects to achieve or exceed the schedule, budget, and performance goals. The candidate will interact with all internal engineering team members and assist in resourcing decisions for external engineering capabilities as well.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead a team of talented engineers to ensure successful completion of engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial and project controls expectation
• Conveying scope of work to team members
• Controlling changes in scope
• Status and tracking progress of project scope/schedule/budget
• Maintaining clear and consistent exchanges of information between client and team members
• Leading routine status meetings both internal team and clients
• Tracking and resolving open items and emergent project issues
• Interface with client managers, stakeholders, and implementing personnel to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years related work experience
• Experience in the complex industrial/technical projects ideally in the power, chemical, process, or Oil & Gas. Other industries such as pharmaceutical, automotive, and datacenter may be applicable.
• Experience in newer industrial or power plant technologies is valued including geothermal, hydrogen production and applications, carbon capture, BESS
o Subject matter expertise is less important than the ability to lead and manage complex projects.
• Extensive experience with estimating, scoping, scheduling, and budgeting projects
• Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions and ability to negotiate the same
• Commitment to high quality, on time and accurately budgeted work
