Job Title: Site Engineer

1.1 Provide technical support to the Shared Services team as and when required
1.2 Identify need/gap and define project scope in consultation with relevant stakeholders for defined projects
1.3 Lead or assist in the contractor procurement process
1.4 Lead or assist in project management/execution
1.5 Participate in project review and close-out
1.6 Provide expert support on troubleshooting and technical deep dive interventions
1.7 Provide specialist primary and secondary plant support to the operating plants
1.8 Drive engineering-focused improvement initiatives

Experience & Qualification:
1. Minimum of eight years’ experience in design and/or maintenance and/or operation of power systems
2. Minimum B.Sc Eng/B.Eng in Electrical Engineering or NQF equivalent qualification
3. ECSA professional registration is mandatory
4. Knowledge of primary plant and experience in secondary plant systems
5. Formal training and/or significant proven experience in project management
6. Experience in running an engineering change control system
7. Has an understanding of designing and implementing plant safety regulations
8. Experience in Microsoft Project Server or similar project management system would be an advantage
9. Technical expertise and experience in Root Cause Analysis and risk management
10. Demonstrated experience in LV, MV and HV electrical systems
11. Experience in wind and photovoltaic plants would be an advantage
12. A valid light vehicle driver’s license is required.
