Special Projects Manager

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Special Projects Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, excels at managing multiple complex projects, and possesses strong leadership and communication skills. This is a part-time position. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
 

• Track project progress, manage documentation, and prepare status and close-out reports.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and comply with regulatory approvals.
• Review and manage engineering and architectural designs, site plans, and construction documents.
• Develop and execute project contracts and participate in consultant and contractor selection.
• Maintain consistent communication with project teams.
• Organize workshops and gather input from technical and community advisory groups.
• Engage with the community to align projects with local values and policies.
• Build relationships with project partners and external agencies.
• Manage grant applications, agreements, and project-related reports.
• Preform additional tasks as required.

Requirements
 

• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with expertise in shoreline adaptation projects.
• EIT certification is preferred. 
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in engaging with communities and presenting project updates to stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, AScT, or CET are preferred.
• Experience in analyzing engineering drawings and overseeing contract management.
• Effective communication with the ability to simplify technical information for different audiences.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proficiency in English communication.
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and regulatory frameworks.
