Role Overview: Sr Mechanical Engineer (Fired Heaters)
- Location: Global Engineering Centre, Mumbai, India
- Education: B.E / B-Tech / M-Tech
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in the field of Fired Heaters (Higher experience candidates are also preferable). Knowledge about pressure vessels is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- API Datasheet Interpretation: Read and interpret header API datasheets.
- Drawing Verification: Check General Arrangement drawings (including coil drawings) of Fired Heaters & Reformers based on API heater datasheets.
- Pressure Parts Calculations: Perform pressure parts calculations (API530, ASME Sec I, IBR), including cast tube support calculation/design.
- Material Requisition: Prepare material requisitions and review vendor offers for pressure parts, cast parts, and tube supports.
- Brought-Out Items: Review material requisitions and vendor offers for items such as Fans, Air-preheaters, Dampers, Expansion Joints, and soot-blowers.
- Conceptual Sketches: Provide conceptual sketches and ideas to designers.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines for input and feedback.
- Third-Party Coordination: Coordinate with third-party engineering contractors.
- Workshop and Construction Site Coordination: Ensure seamless coordination during workshop and construction phases.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients on technical matters.
- 3D Model Reviews: Participate in 3D model reviews and review the internal 3D model.
- Change Order Tracking: Monitor change orders and manage modifications.
