TAR Expeditor

Our Partner, an internationally integrated Chemicals Company, has an opening for a TAR Expeditor. This is an exciting opportunity to join an amazing team of contracts and procurement professionals located in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with Suppliers on procurement and turnaround needs
• Coordinate and lead expediting meetings with critical/bulk vendors
• Coordinate with buyers, materials management and planning personnel to resolve delivery and material questions
• Expedite long lead and past due materials
• Ensure all material and service suppliers have confirmed POs
• Establish and maintain files and agreements
• Coordinate with other members of Procurement and Turnaround teams
• Manage expediting and other report updates
• Other duties as assigned
• Optional: Buyer experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Document management skills
• Effective Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
• Self-motivated and creative in getting results while overcoming obstacles
• Good interpersonal skills to get cooperation from suppliers, customers, and peers
• Detail-oriented to identify inconsistencies and suggest corrections
• Use of MS office suite - especially Word and Excel
• Ability to chase down due actions and get resolution

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Working knowledge of procurement environment
• Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
