Responsibilities:
- Foster a team environment that encourages collaboration and mutual support.
- Handle the requisition of necessary materials and supplies.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, including the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Resolve work-related issues and propose measures to boost productivity and product quality.
- Supervise and coordinate worker activities, ensuring effective delegation and scheduling.
- Provide vital information for production plans to ensure the achievement of production objectives.
- Actively participate in disciplinary procedures, issuing verbal and written warnings for minor infractions.
- Work in sync with other site leaders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Aid in training staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policy.
- Proactively identify and rectify potential hazards, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years in warehouse supervision or logistics, with experience in major construction projects and materials management software.
- Valid Telehandler/Zoom Boom certification, experience on Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) sites, and First Aid qualification is desirable.
- Excellent in negotiation, facilitation, and maintaining positive relationships with various internal parties.
- Proven supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and engage a team, work independently, and establish credibility with staff and clients.
- Strong ability to solve innovative problems and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proficient in managing equipment maintenance, tracking, and inventory documentation.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple project timelines and logistical requirements.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage time appropriately, and maintain laydown yard including snow removal.
- Experience in the Sandblasting, Insulation, and fireproofing sector is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
