Position: Junior Estimator
Location: Charleston, SC
Salary: $75k-$90k

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and create takeoffs for various construction projects with project teams.

• Review project documents, plans, and specifications to identify material and labor requirements.

• Utilize takeoff software to determine quantities of materials, labor, and equipment needed for a project.

• Prepare accurate estimates for site work and utility projects.

• Assist with budget analysis for project materials and labor.

• Assist in the preparation of estimates and bids for projects.

• Provide technical support to project teams as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret data.

• Ability to interpret contractual requirements.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Creative thinking to automate processes and increase efficiencies.

• Ability to learn new software quickly.

• Strong attention to detail.

Desired Training and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).

• Prior experience with a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) system.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced knowledge of Excel is a MUST!).

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

• Creative thinking to automate processes and increase efficiencies.
