The Plant Manager is responsible for strategic leadership of the site and its staff. This person will oversee day-to-day operations and guide the site in its quest to successfully accomplish its long-term goals, objectives, and policies.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Clinton, SC manufacturing facility, optimizing profitability and cash flow.
- Improve and report on key performance indicators to senior management.
- Ensure that production targets are met, and quality standards are maintained.
- Manage the performance of the manufacturing team and ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
- Continuously lead and pursue a Zero Accident Culture. Drive all aspects of the Zero Accident Culture initiative.
- Ensure that the facility is well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the facility operates efficiently and effectively.
- Continuously improve admin functions and IT systems for optimal effectiveness
- Ensure the talent plan is kept up to date.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work extended and flexible hours, as needed.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Lean Certified preferred
