We currently seek a high caliber Scheduler for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Torrance, CA.
The Project is a $1.7B multiyear program. The program consists of various small, medium and large projects. The medical center hospital is not compliant with the state mandate seismic code, and therefore a need for replacement new hospital. In addition, there will be outpatient, support building, parking structure/surface lots, central utility plant, 12KV/66KV substation and utility corridor projects. The scoping documents are complete and initial demolition/ move management has already started and the major D/B procurement is underway.
Job Requirements
- Review Baseline and Schedule updates submitted by the design builders using Primavera software to ensure the project is optimally executed.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and statements of work in activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling.
- Prepare monthly schedule update reviews by comparing the current month schedule to the previous month, report any variances/delays and provide detailed written report to the County project manager.
- Assist executives in developing preconstruction schedules and proposal schedules.
- Review time impact analysis submitted by the design builders and provide detailed review report and recommendations of delay entitlement to the County project manager.
- Review three week look ahead schedule, walk on the jobsite for progress monitoring and report variance between planned and actual progress made on site. Additionally, provide what-if scenario schedules to determine the delays based on the actual progress made on site and assist for recovery of time.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of scheduling experience utilizing Primavera P6
- Must have extensive experience scheduling on vertical construction projects
- Experience developing and maintaining cost and resource loaded and integrated project master schedules and detailed project schedules
- Will review and recommend approval of schedules and time impact analyses provided by contractor and consultants
- Applicable professional certifications desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience working on a hospital or medical project is a plus.
- Campus style project or program experience
- Very good knowledge of construction means and method, sequencing, and strong knowledge of Oracle P6 including MS office suit and Bluebeam.

Schedule: 9x80 schedule- one weekday off every other week with the alternate week allowing for one day of working remotely.
