The role will see you be present onboard the Contractor’s SOV and observe their activities associated with personnel and equipment transfer from the vessel to the Foundations or OCP to perform the preparation of the Foundations and the OCP for, and the actual cable pull-in activities providing feedback to the onshore teams.
The Role
- Maintain an accurate daily record of all Preparation & Pull-in related activities including but not limited to personnel & equipment transfers, pull-in performance and loads/tensions, breakdowns, and weather downtime throughout the execution phase.
- Ensure that all relevant procedures and RAMS, accepted by the PC are followed by the Contractor. Monitoring and inspections of the works to ensure they are being conducted in accordance with the Contractors Safe Systems of Work, written instructions and in compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice.
- Following the Safety Policy (including the 8-life saving rules) and initiating the Stop Work process for immediate environment, health and safety or asset safety reasons.
- Witnessing any activities (as required by the ITP) performed during the preparation & pull-in of the Array Cables.
- Attend and where relevant chair daily and weekly meetings (both internally and with the Contractor) attended by the Array Cable Package Management Team.
- Raising alerts to any perceived trends relating to HSE risks or transgressions developing onshore as they arise.

- Fire Awareness
- Manual Handling
- Helicopter Under Water Escape Training (HUET)
- XBR” Shoulder measurement
- Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) certification.
- Current valid medical certificate for offshore work. The accepted medicals as defined in the CPP is Oil and Gas UK (OGUK). Please note that OGUK must be accompanied by an additional fitness assessment such as the "Chester Step Test" or equivalent.
- IOSH Managing Safely or similar HSE training.
- Evidence of CDM competency
- IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet), experience using inspection/auditing software in a construction environment desirable.
