The job:
As Contracts Engineer, you are part of our contracts team and you are responsible for managing and administrating all main contract activities on Projects. You work closely with the Project Team and other departments and interfaces as required.
Furthermore as Contracts Engineer, you are responsible for:
- Managing and administrating all related subcontracting activities on various Projects in a timely, quality focused and budget driven way in accordance with the Company Management System (CMS)
- Contribute to subcontracting strategies
- Prepare subcontracting strategies in line with the project objectives
- Be the Lead contracts engineer on the smaller projects
- Preparation of invitations to tender through evaluation of tender proposals and final contract award and subsequent contract administration through to close-out
- Evaluate and negotiate commercial and contractual matters, and coordination of technical evaluation of the received tenders.
- Organize and lead tender clarification meetings, tender board meetings, kick-off and commercial meetings (smaller projects).
Requested:
We are looking for a strong Contracts Engineer with good work ethics, a professional level of attention to detail and a demonstrable commercial awareness.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Legal, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a contracting environment within the construction, engineering, oil & gas industries, preferably gained internationally
- Experience with management of a team of contractors is a plus
- Knowledgeable experience in major re-measurable and lump sum EPC(IC) contracts
- A proactive approach to the role and be able to demonstrate added value at all times
- Excellent command of English, both verbally as well as in writing
- The willingness to travel on short-term overseas business trips, as well as longer-term assignments
- You have an EU passport (needed for possible international business trips)
