Cost Controller

Our client is looking for a Medior Cost Controller to support their ongoing growth within the Energy Transition.

The company has the decarbonisation ambition to become a global processing company converting non-recyclable waste into valuable chemical building blocks and advanced biofuels. They offer a range of products from licensing, syngas islands to developing its own projects from initial concept based on own proprietary technology into full operation. 

As a Medior Cost Controller you will join an international team of passionate professionals and play a crucial role in the Project Management Team.

The Job:
• Ensure all project control reports are produced on time and to standards.  Develop/Prepare overall monthly project status reports for Business and Operations Management including departmental KPIs. Project reports/man hours and dashboard. Consolidation/verification of the data in various systems (SAP, Synergy). 
• Take an overall forward looking and balanced view of cost, schedule and commercial performance of projects and identify trends and potential problem areas in order that remedial actions can be addressed early by project teams.  Follow up on the risk & opportunity analysis of projects.  
• Ensure Cost and Program Analysis of completed Projects is carried out and recorded to establish actual performance statistics for future Estimates.  
• Maintain lessons learned database and track continuous improvement in project delivery. 
• Manage department data and information in accordance with company  standards.  
• Follow up on the project invoicing plan in accordance with the project manager and the milestone accomplishment. 

Requested:
We are seeking a candidate who excels in teamwork and communication, capable of engaging with both project teams and higher management. The ideal candidate translates complex topics into understandable, manageable actions for the team and takes proactive ethical actions to ensure project success.
• Bachelor/master's degree in engineering, technical or business studies, or equivalent on-the-job development. 
• 5 years’ experience in similar functions. 
• On the job experience of projects with (petro-)chemical companies/contractors during the different phases of the project: Process Design (PDP), Basic Engineering (BEDP), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and EPC. 
• Having experience and understanding of project management systems and tools. Knowledge of PowerBI/SAP an advantage. 
• Reporting financial progress of the projects.
• Team player and a natural easy communicator.
• English language is required. Dutch is an advantage.
• Permitted to work in the Netherlands.
