Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Deskside Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide on-site technical assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide deskside support to end-users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Document and track issues using a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
  • Educate end-users on best practices and provide training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Deskside Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site work with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as required.
