Electrical I&C Designer

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for Electrical I&C Designer roles to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into designs.
• Create detailed 2D CAD drawings and schematics for various design stages.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to their professional growth.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and global standards.
• Conduct bulk material take-off analyses and tabulations.
• Draft and evaluate project scopes and baseline documents.
• Utilize 3D review platforms to assess models and generate complex 3D designs.
• Develop project estimates, schedules, staffing plans, and progress reports.
• Implement project standards in design drawings and 3D layouts.
• Oversee and verify the work of other designers and review vendor documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A combination of education and relevant experience totaling 10 years’ experience.
• Proficient in effectively communicating with diverse groups, including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Possesses the technical expertise necessary to perform job-related tasks.
• Experienced in EPC within the mining and oil & gas sectors, with a strong background in SPI.
• Capable of understanding and applying knowledge of relevant local, state/province, and federal/national laws and guidelines.
• Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently within time constraints.
