We are seeking a knowledgeable Material Specialist Buildings to manage and oversee the procurement, handling, and quality control of building materials on-site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in material management within large-scale industrial construction projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement and delivery of building materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
  • Conduct quality control inspections of materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of material inventories, usage, and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure the availability of required materials.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to material quality or supply.
  • Develop and implement material management procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on material usage and wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in material handling and storage.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Material Specialist or similar role in large-scale construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of building materials, procurement processes, and quality control standards.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications in material management or construction management are preferred.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
