We are seeking a knowledgeable Material Specialist Buildings to manage and oversee the procurement, handling, and quality control of building materials on-site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in material management within large-scale industrial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the procurement and delivery of building materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
- Conduct quality control inspections of materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of material inventories, usage, and deliveries.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure the availability of required materials.
- Identify and resolve any issues related to material quality or supply.
- Develop and implement material management procedures and best practices.
- Monitor and report on material usage and wastage.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in material handling and storage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Specialist or similar role in large-scale construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of building materials, procurement processes, and quality control standards.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications in material management or construction management are preferred.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
