Electrical Project Manager/Estimator

We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager/Estimator to join our clients Calgary Team. The Electrical Project Estimator will work closely with the entire project team, from sales to engineering, to prepare estimates and propose technical solutions that meet customer request for proposal requirements.

Responsibilities:
 

• Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and Field Service Manager to schedule manpower and equipment effectively.
• Provide leadership, motivation, and supervision to Field Service personnel, ensuring productivity and safety. Act as the first line of reporting for Field Service Representatives.
• Engage necessary team members for project success.
• Follow quality system procedures and work instructions.
• Communicate with clients to meet their needs and coordinate with vendors for quotations.
• Ensure timely completion of proposals, meeting all deadlines.
• Review specifications to meet technical design requirements in proposals.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to achieve team goals.
• Prepare accurate estimates by collaborating with engineering, design, purchasing, quality, and management teams.
• Adhere to safety and human resources policies in all duties.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical project estimating.
• Technologist Diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) is an asset.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience in an industrial setting with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Active and energetic team player eager to gain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications.
