Role description:
We are seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to join our team, working closely with Rio Tinto's Approval team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS tools and their application, alongside industry experience in mining company Approval teams. This role requires advanced skills, going beyond GIS data entry, and demands seamless collaboration within a client-focused environment.
Role Accountabilities:
- Utilize GIS tools for advanced analysis and application, supporting approval processes.
- Split time and responsibilities between Rhodes Ridge and Belelle Hill sites.
- Collaborate with Rio Tinto's Approval team, providing geospatial insights and support.
- Act as a liaison, effectively interfacing various stakeholders and team members across the organization.
- Ensure integration and alignment with client organizational processes and standards.
- Proven experience with GIS tools and their practical application in a professional setting
- Preferably has prior experience working with mining company Approval teams.
- Advanced expertise in GIS tasks, going beyond data entry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a client organization.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and adapt to diverse interactions.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Flexibility to work across different teams and locations while maintaining high standards.
