Job Title: Global Strategic Marketing Manager
Location: ***REMOTE***
Industry: light industrial manufacturing
Status of Hire: direct placement; permanent
Pay: $100k - $120k

Summary: The Global Strategic Marketing Manager is accountable for the design and execution of the marketing strategies across the organization that delivers profitable and sustained growth. The role is responsible for understanding and explaining customers’ needs and market environment, collecting and synthesizing global view of market trends, technical and commercial capabilities to drive growth opportunities aligned with the company’s strategy.

Key Deliverables: Launch activities and business cases for new technologies; customer segmentation; market and competitive analysis; as well as implementation of strategic regional marketing initiatives.  This role works closely with cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, Sales, Operations) to ensure a leading market position and increase brand awareness.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for collecting and synthesizing global view of market trends, customer needs, the company’s technical and commercial capabilities and competitive capability, and intent to drive global initiatives.
  • Implement business cases for new technologies with the appropriate market analysis
  • Enhance the corporate brand with relevant original content to promote company products and services
  • Planning digital marketing campaigns (web, social, advertising) across all sales channels, measuring and reporting digital performance
  • Define relevant KPIs to guide sales organization and regularly provides reports on these KPIs in alignment with the finance organization
  • Support CCO and sales leadership in establishing sales budgets (volume, prices) and prepares and manage marketing plans and budget
  • Managing the production of promotional material
  • Lead the CRM (customer pipeline) review. Manages CRM tool.
  • Customer segmentation – including unmet needs assessment, competitive profiles, SWOT, market attractiveness and buying process analyses.
  • Responsible for understanding and explaining the customers and market environment and competitive analysis to develop appropriate marketing strategies to capitalize on opportunities and position the business for improved growth and profitability
  • Lead and implements strategic regional marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrate active leadership to promote continuous improvement in key business processes and driving excellence in execution

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Chemistry or similar
    • Advanced degree in Marketing or Business preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in International Marketing, Sales and/or Product Management required in packaging or B2B markets
  • High proficiency managing a CRM
    • Experience utilizing Spotler preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying best practice commercial segmentation tools in a global business
  • Strong marketing acumen with a solid foundation for market fundamentals, specifically brand management and value-based pricing strategies, strategy development
  • Excellent project management, communication (written and verbal), presentation, interpersonal, and people management skills required
  • Strong working knowledge of Digital Marketing and Digital Marketing Strategies
  • Strong outside-in customer, market and value focus
  • Entrepreneurial with high level of tolerance for ambiguity and willingness to take calculated risks and implement novel market approaches.
  • Willingness to question the status quo and challenge current methodologies to achieve best-in-class practices.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused and resourceful individual with strong follow through
