Indirect Commodities Program Manager

Our partner, a leading construction and rentals company, is seeking an Indirect Commodities Program Manager to join their team in Addison, TX! This is a direct hire position, offering competitive salary +bonus and great benefits!

SUMMARY
Lead the activities to develop and execute sourcing and supply chain strategies for indirect/MRO commodity categories. Identify & engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality, safety) to capture commodity requirements & ensure supplier qualification & quality. Conduct or support negotiations & supplier selection. Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects. Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) & quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity. Responsible for commodity continuity of supply including actively monitoring & mitigating supplier risk. Support region / enterprise procurement teams through preferred supplier programs & strategy development.

DUTIES:
• Apply sourcing, procurement and supply chain management expertise and job experience to:
o Define Preferred Suppliers within assigned commodity categories
o Establish and manage supplier performance expectations
o Achieve company cost reduction and working capital goals
o Analyze and develop plans and metrics to manage supply base capacity, capability and effectiveness
o Conduct commodity category and industry analyses to identify opportunities; tracking and forecasting of key cost drivers that have an impact on business conditions
o Identify and pursue leveraging opportunities
o Manage total lifecycle of a supplier contract, including submission to legal, expiration alerts, etc
o Segment suppliers and manage relationships to drive supplier development and integration for existing, new and potential suppliers
• Assume a leadership role in developing strong supplier relationships that includes:
o Develop supplier plans that secure targeted levels of cost, quality, assurance of supply and working capital
o Contract negotiations and developing commercial agreements

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS or BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management Industrial Technology or Business-related major or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of progressive sourcing and supplier management experience
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and its application
• Demonstrate competence in negotiating skills & assessing suppliers.
• Able to communicate on a global and regional basis using clear and concise oral and written communication skills, with a proficiency of MS Office applications
