Instrumentation & Control Systems Design Lead

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Instrumentation & Control Systems Design Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Lead and mentor design teams, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and manage project timelines.
• Develop cost-effective design solutions and project plans.
• Create and review project scope documents and baseline materials.
• Prepare estimates, schedules, staffing plans, and progress reports.
• Track material quantities and provide accurate forecasts.
• Develop and review design specifications and criteria.
• Ensure designs meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Foster strong client relationships and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 

• Diploma in Instrumentation and Controls Technology or equivalent.
• Over 15 years of experience in EPC/EPCM environments.
• Experience in mineral processing.
• Field experience in instrumentation is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and practices.
• Ability to support tasks and deliverables from other disciplines.
• Proficiency in MicroStation; SmartPlant Instrumentation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in office software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask across multiple projects.
