Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Perform advanced hydraulic calculations for slurry and solution systems.
• Participate in procurement processes, including sourcing materials, obtaining permits, and managing subcontractors.
• Provide independent solutions to moderately complex engineering challenges, aligning with project objectives.
• Create detailed equipment specifications and conduct thorough technical evaluations.
• Review and validate vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project standards, addressing any discrepancies.
• Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for mechanical engineering projects.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Background in consulting engineering for industrial processing facilities, including equipment such as mills, cyclones, flotation cells, thickeners, pumps, lime systems, filters, and refineries.
• Technical expertise required to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations and guidelines.
• Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
