You will be part of the core team, as a Lead Process Engineer attached to the Process Global Shared Solutions HoD. The location is their Global Design Centre in Mumbai.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the Process team's work on licensed or modular projects,
- Participating in the creation of Process Books for designing equipment and preparing specifications for Vessels, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, and Heaters,
- Enhancing the skill set of Process Engineers and developing coaching/training sessions for them,
- Working closely with Technology Experts, cross-disciplinary engineering specialists, and Process Specialists,
- Adhering to procedures for releasing project specifications,
- Coordinating activities with other departments (Drafting, Engineering, Project Management, etc.),
- Monitoring projects with Detail Engineering Contractors / Engineering, Procurement, and Construction, including the review of engineering documents,
- Attending client meetings (PFD and P&ID reviews, HAZOP, SIL Review, 3D model reviews, etc.),
- Ensuring compliance with Policies (HS&E, Intellectual Property Protection, Integrity & Codes of Conduct).
Qualifications and Experience:
- A master’s degree or higher in chemical or process engineering,
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in an engineering firm or within the refining, petrochemical, gas, chemical, or biochemical industries,
- Proven project management experience,
- Proficiency in basic and/or detailed Process engineering tasks, such as:
- Process Modeling using chemical engineering software (Pro II, Hysys, etc.),
- Specification of equipment (exchangers, pumps, compressors, drums, etc.).
-Proficiency in process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process control, and safety is required. Experience in unit operations support is advantageous.
A fluent command of English is essential, and proficiency in additional language(s) is valued. The ideal candidate is curious, open-minded, and eager to work in an international setting. Agility in collaborating within multi-cultural companies is also crucial.
