"TRS is looking for a PORT CAPTAIN to join our leading International Client's HAIL & GHASHA PROJECT based in ABU DHABI, UAE."
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for all the several interfaces with the Company Marine Department related to type of vessels to be mobilized, crews’ composition, submission for Company approval of CVs for crew key positions, diving personnel and survey-positioning personnel.
- Arranging the rig move meeting with Company which have to be held before the start of any significant offshore installation such as laying, pipe-pulls, dredging-backfilling, heavy lifts, survey, diving and hook-up; responsible for the collection of all documentation required for these meetings such as marine work procedures, mooring-transportation analysis, anchor patterns; responsible for distribution of the rig move minute of meeting to all involved offshore & onshore parties together with recommendations about how to comply with the particular Company requirements. Day by day coordination of all vessels of the fleet and optimization of crew boats and supply vessels runs; keep interfacing with the HLVA’s/DLB’s, STAR, logistic bases of Jubail & Tanajib and with the project teams.
- Submission of monthly notices to Company related to bunker and entrance to their private ports; coordination for bunker; local assistance to rig move masters during their sign-on and sign-off; coordinator with Agents during arrival or departure of vessels to/from Waters; supervise during medevac or urgent repatriation of crew members; arrange and assisted the third parties during vessels survey related to issue of sail-away certificates.
- Carry out routine inspections to all hired vessels including a quarterly marine survey in conjunction with Company; keep close coordination with the maintenance teams.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma, or related field from an accredited university preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in programs of similar size and scope.
- Valid Offshore Certification required.
