Role Description :


Project Managers are responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects leading to client satisfaction, repeat business and growth.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the scope, budget and schedule management of multiple projects across the electrical, control systems and communications disciplines. This role is a key client facing position that requires the highest level of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of interaction and communication internal and external to the company. As a Project Manager you will co-ordinate closely with the team to deliver both engineering and manufacturing deliverables in line with the project targets and milestones, while ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance with the company’s quality management system.

The Project Manager shall ensure effective and successful project delivery, including:
• Input into, or assistance with the development of pre-sales proposal estimates and budgets;
• Site inspections, audits and scope formulation;
• Conversion of projects from pre-sales to post sales including client interfacing and baselining of budget, scope and schedule;
• Initiation of projects including configuration of software tools, Business Management System (BMS) documentation, kick off meetings and resource allocation in conjunction with discipline principles;
• Management of project execution including budget tracking and schedule compliance;
• Safety focal point including the promotion and implementation of safety in design, risk assessments, plans and procedures to ensure safe delivery in all facets of the project;
• Consistently focus on project profitability to ensure targets are met or exceeded;
• Sub-contractor and supplier interfacing and management including contract preparation, negotiation, evaluation and administration;
• Identification and management of project variations (both technical and commercial) including development of documentation and evaluation of impact to budget, scope and schedule;
• Pro-actively analyze, manage and act on project risks;
• Supervision and management of the project team including compliance with targets, milestones and quality requirements;
• Development of project profit and loss statements;
• Regular reporting of project performance to internal and external stakeholders;
• Maintaining highest level of overall service and client satisfaction;
• Encouraging innovation, creativity, development and deployment of new technology to deliver more cost effective and efficient projects;
• Support the Project Delivery Manager and/or Project Director with evaluation, deployment and continuous improvement of suitable project management tools, systems and processes; and
• Leadership in key areas such as HSEQ, account management and project delivery.

Qualification:
• Degree in an Electrical, Control Systems, Software, Electronic or Mechatronic engineering discipline.
• Membership or on route to membership with a recognized professional body (desirable)
• Project Management Diploma or equivalent (desirable).

At least 10 years of experience in a senior role in project delivery for an engineering services organization.
At least 10 years relevant engineering experience within the resources sector.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of project delivery governance, engineering practices related to applicable technologies and the implementation of such practices.
