We are seeking a QAQC Lead for a 12 months project based in Mesaieed, Qatar.
Job Objective:
The candidate shall possess detailed QA/QC knowledge and shall have hands on experience in working with associated non marine or EPIC projects. The candidate shall steer the organization’s effort in acquiring new accreditations and certifications (e.g. ASME, UL, ISO,etc.).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop Project quality plans, project QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) ,etc. basing the project requirements.
- Carry out QA/QC inspection / surveillance practice in keeping with agreed project plan / ITP,etc and generate on time reports.
- Document the detected/ reported non-conformities, investigate to identify root cause and ensure to implement effective corrective actions.
- Customer complaints, documentation, investigation, tracking and reporting the outcome.
- Review subcontractor/ consultant/ Third party QA/QC documentation for its adequacy and effectiveness.
- Provide quality solutions as per client requirements and deliver within budget and contract.
- Liaise, coordinate and support third party, specialist engagements (test/inspection/study/ assessments..) as needed.
- Carry out fit up /welding inspections, generate required reports to confirm meeting the project specifications.
- Carry out NDE inspections as mandated in ITP and issue reports.
Qualifications:
Education & Professional Qualification:
- Bachelors of Mechanical Engineer or related field.
Professional Experience:
- Qualified Welding Engineer / Inspector (AWS/CSWIP)
- ASNT Level II (MP/PT /UT)
- Internal/ Lead Auditor ISO9001:2015
- 8 to 15 years’ combined experience in marine and non-marine sectors.
Computer skills
- Competent with generic computer applications. CAD exposure is preferred.
