Be Part of a Dynamic Team Delivering a Major Construction Project
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and qualified Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join a leading construction company. You'll contribute to a high-profile project in Royston, UK, working under the guidance of experienced leadership and supporting the delivery of the shell & core/CSA elements of a £120 million project.
What You'll Do:
- Assist the Senior QS and Managing QS with all aspects of quantity surveying for your designated project area.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
- Process and value subcontractor quotations and tenders.
- Assist with contract administration tasks, including variations, claims, and change orders.
- Track project expenditure and ensure adherence to budget allocations.
- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports and other project documentation.
- Maintain clear and accurate project records for cost control purposes.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Develop your skills and knowledge through on-the-job experience and mentorship.
What You'll Bring:
- A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a built environment discipline (or demonstrably equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in a construction quantity surveying role (or a strong understanding of QS principles).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential).
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
