"TRS has an urgently requirement for Two (2) Offshore Radio Administrator Pursers (Radio Operator) to operate all radio and communication equipment onboard to ensure radio watchkeeping requirements and ensure mandatory provisions for our leading international client's Perro Negro 11 Vessel project team based in SAUDI ARABIA (OFFSHORE)."

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Report to Master/OIM ensure compliance with the radio watchkeeping requirements of SOLAS, international Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Global Maritime Distress Satellite System (GMDSS) regulations.
• Maintain a continuous watch on the dedicated distress, urgency and safety communications, receive weather forecast bulletins and meteorological warnings and other Maritime Safety Information, inform the Master/OIM as soon as a distress, urgency or safety communication is received, communicate with helicopter services and maintain radio contact with all helicopters intending to land or depart from the vessel, as required.
• Maintain the radio logbook, ensure all outgoing correspondence is approved by Master (General & Marine), Chief Engineer (Technical) and Superintendent (Projects), log incoming and outing correspondence and arrange distribution accordingly, log/arrange/distribute incoming and outgoing mail as per standing instructions issued by Master Authority.
• Organize Radio communications and, where required, vessel personnel administration system.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited Diploma or equivalent technical qualification within related field of experience.
• Minimum 3 years as Radio Operator / Radio Operator Purser (or higher position).
• Proved experiences in Offshore Rig /preferably worked in Aramco.
• GMDSS general operator’s certificate – STCW A – IV/2
