"Our client, leading specialist in Solar, Renewal Energy is seeking a SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPER with solar renewable energy experience to join their team based in SOMERSET WEST, CAPE TOWN."
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Play a pivotal part in advancing the client’s portfolio of renewable energy projects.
- Lead the development of renewable energy projects from inception to Financial Close.
- Involved in market prospecting, in order to identify projects in accordance with the company's strategic objectives, and you will conduct negotiations to secure these projects.
- Analyze projects and prioritize business opportunities according to the potential for profit and scalability.
- Involved in the preparation of files for the investment committee, in order to obtain the necessary approvals for the development of the projects.
- Manage the relationship with internal or external consultants, on topics such as: financial aspects, technical evaluation, preparation of the workbook.
- Organize, under the coordination of a Senior Business Developer, the meetings and documents necessary for development of each project.
- Permanently check the impact of economic, political, regulatory and technological evolution on development plans and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Accredited Degree in Technical or Economic field.
- Minimum 5-8 years in relevant experience (in the BD field, project management in the energy field, energy production technologies, energy market, M&A).
- Knowledge of financial analysis and valuation.
- Knowledge of project methodology.
- Economic knowledge applied to the field of energy.
