Senior Quantity Surveyor Electrical

We are TRS Staffing Solutions, an international project sourcing agency and part of Fluor Corporation. We specialize in supporting the oil, gas, energy, chemical, industrial construction, and life sciences sectors.

For our external client we are currently recruiting for two Quantity Surveyors or Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyors to work on a Hyperscale Data Centre project in Belgium. This role reports to the Commercial Lead for the project and offers the opportunity to work with one of the world's largest tech companies, providing exciting career opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Validate tender following award of project with the Project Manager/Director.

• Assist in preparation of project CCS by analyzing the tender and project requirements.

• Prepare cash flow by analyzing the timing of billings and costs.

• Compile monthly reports in accordance with Group standard procedures.

• Conduct site measures with Construction and Planning Teams as per contractual procedures.

• Ensure timely submission of claims/notices in accordance with contract provisions.

• Highlight areas of concern relating to contract costs, sales, and contribution.

• Attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings.

• Draft pre- and post-contract correspondence in consultation with the Project Manager/Director.

• Identify if material purchases are scope or variation to the budget.

• Control client invoicing by submission of invoices and tracking payments.

• Administer payments to subcontractors and suppliers by reviewing submissions in terms of their contracts.

• Liaise closely with the Financial Department on project reporting and financials.

• Resolve disputes related to client/subcontractor issues.

• Prepare reports on commercial and contractual issues for Project and Commercial Managers.

• Monitor site procurement through regular reports.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, or equivalent.

• 5-10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.

• Working towards chartership or professional Quantity Surveying Certification is desirable.

• Solid knowledge of Electrical Systems.

• Data Centre experience is advantageous but not essential.
