The Role:
We are seeking experienced Structural Designers for our clients mining & metals team. You will be working on a diverse portfolio of projects including Iron Ore, Rare Earths & Critical Minerals. If you are a Structural Designer with project experience across concrete, steel, material handling and wet plant structures then we would love to hear from you!!
As part of a high performing team, this position offers a variety of work where you will:
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of design milestones whilst proactively addressing any potential issues or delays.
- Prepare 3D engineering models and 2D design drawings.
- Design of steel and concrete structures supporting projects within Iron Ore, Rare Earths & Critical Minerals
- Design of material handling and wet plant structures
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment within the team.
What you will bring to the team:
- Strong technical base with demonstrated experience coordinating with other disciplines.
- Knowledge of structural drafting, design & modelling principles of concrete structures including large raft foundations, concrete slabs, pump foundations & concrete footings
- Familiarity with structural design of material handling and wet plant structures is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
