Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, supervise, and coordinate operations on multiple construction sites
• Responsible for the performance of their assigned Foreperson and crew, ensure Foreperson compliance with all assignments, project policies and procedures
• Ensure the safety and productivity of crew members
• Act as a key participant in the relationship between the company, other contractors, the client, and all other project stakeholders
• Provide guidance to team members by leading safety meetings and inspections.
• Track and report project, quality control, resource requirements and customer or employee relations to the General Superintendent.
• Contribute to the development of a construction plan.
• Work with the General Superintendent to identify equipment and labour resource requirements, periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production, schedules, and budgets.
• HSE inspections and reports.
• Reviewing field log with the Project manager to ensure accuracy of phase codes and reported items.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 7-8+ years of experience in a supervisory position in the construction industry: rail and tracks.
• Experience with Rail & Tracks projects, or other infrastructure projects
• Thorough knowledge of the applicable OH&S legislation, and MTO specifications.
• Proficient Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Ability to work the project schedule which may include weekends and/or night shift.
