WATER & ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN - Candidates should be open to working or relocating within Elk Valley Region, British Columbia.
Employment Status: Independent Contractor
Site Location: Elk Valley Region, BC
Relocation: Elk Valley Region
Rotation: 7 days on/7 days off
Working Hours: 12 hour shift per day (days and nights)
Accommodation: None
Monthly subsidy allowance: Provided at cost
Requirements:
- EOCP Program, Diploma in Sciences, Environmental Technology, or an equivalent combination of training and water treatment experience.
- Water Treatment Certification: Having a Level I, II, or III Water or Wastewater Treatment certificate
- At least 2 years work experience in monitoring and control of water treatment facility.
- A solid understanding of process equipment mechanics.
- Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, and membrane filtration.
- Ability to safely handle chemicals and operate equipment for transporting them.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite®, especially Excel.
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
- Strong team player who is eager to learn.
- Excellent communication abilities are essential.
