Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager
Location: Duncan, SC
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried exempt
Pay: $100-120k base
Industry: automotive manufacturing, assembly

SUMMARY:
In this role you will promote and support lean activities and the development of a lean culture by leading, defining, and developing strategic activities for continuous improvement initiatives while following and helping establish standards across the company. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop strategic plan for kaizen events and use of supporting resources with plant leadership.
Identify opportunities for standard processes, improved flow, waste elimination and managing for daily improvement activities in support of operations and business process performance improvements.
Develop plans for the implementation of Lean principles in all areas of operations and business environments to improve the flow of material and information, development of processes, technology and operations performance.
Train and mentor operations leadership on Lean practices including standard work, 5S, problem solving and waste elimination.
Teach the use of proven change management and project management practices to operations and business leadership.
Conduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies. Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the Continuous Improvement Manager function. This would include: IATF 16949, ISO, and TISAX
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Encourage safe practices and a safety-first mindset among coworkers.
Analyzing company processes and procedures
Developing process enhancement strategies
Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes
Establishing norms and standards of company performance
Monitoring staff performance and organizational processes
Additional duties as needed and assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must be self-motivated and possess well-developed leadership skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field required
Certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are beneficial
Previous experience with Six Sigma/Lean (Black Belt certification preferred)
Previous experience with environmental compliance and ISO 14001
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology, applying principles, techniques, procedures and equipment design
Knowledge of raw materials and production processes

**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire
